Students during examinations

I woke up early, freshen, prepared breakfast and left for school as usual. It is summer and quite hot at Paro. Students are having midterm exams. After assembly an exam starts. I went to one of the classrooms where class eleven arts and class twelve commerce students were sitting for an examination. The moment I entered the classroom, students remained silent with their head low. It seems they were recalling what they have memorized and trying to write on the table so that they won’t forget later. After five minutes, I distributed the question papers followed by answer sheets. I announced them that first fifteen minutes is to be spending for reading the question papers. Exactly at 9:00AM, writing exams start. Some students were still reading an essay while others started writing. Stories from small kids

We were sitting down for the studies. I was by the door side, asking little ones to study. Tenzin, a class two student raised her hand wanting to share her story with us. I asked, ‘Tenzin, what happened?'. She stood up and said, ‘madam, can I share my story with you all’. We all gave her the permission to share her stories that has stored for almost 10 months. I could sense the happiness in her smile. She was too young to fall in love. She started sharing her love story. She said that he was from the same class and smart in study as well. ‘Madam, I liked and love him so much. He is our class captain. He is smart and intelligent. Sometimes, he asks me money and pencil. I don’t like when he talks with other girls but I love fighting with him because I could spend some time with him’. We listened to her story. Celebration of Mahashivatri

People of Dantak celebrated the mahashivatri   pooja in Dantak mandir near college,kanglung on 27 th of February. Shivatri is celebrated in 11 th month of hindu calendar in 14 th day. It is one of the most celebrated festivals in hindu. It it usually celebrated at night because shivji has taken humans beings from darkness,he has given light to haman beings. Shivji is also known as Ruthra. It is belived that,after the celebration of mahashivratri,the green grass grows or everything turns into green…means dry season is over when sahivatri is celebrated. “I am really happy and proud to celebrate the maha shivratri,I even stayed fasting for   the whole day” said one of the person in Dantak.
